As a Laboratory Assistant in the Oncology division, you will support the Companion Diagnostic development group by performing tasks such as ordering supplies, washing and autoclaving dishware, maintaining equipment, filing, and data entry. You will also assist in the implementation, validation, and evaluation of new equipment for the histology lab. Depending on project needs, additional tasks may include histology work like microtomy, embedding, staining, and scanning.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, wash, autoclave, and shelve laboratory dishware to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use.
Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and chemical/hazardous material rooms, ensuring proper organization and safety standards are upheld.
Safely remove biohazardous, hazardous, and glass waste in accordance with safety regulations.
Perform equipment IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), PQ (Performance Qualification), as well as regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Tend to general lab maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Maintain and organize the Tissue Bank and Stained Slide Bank to ensure proper storage and accessibility.
Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the lab’s overall functions.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least December 2, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $27.90 - $43.60/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
