Position Overview:
The Electrical Engineer provides expert technical support and operational/maintenance assurance for the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) system at the Motiva Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex (PAMC). The position is part of the Electrical Engineering Department within the Engineering Technical Assurance organization.
PAMC has a wide range of T&D equipment of varying ages and design. The successful candidate will be challenged and recognized for their ability to perform in this environment. This includes the ability to articulate issues to facility operations, business managers, project managers, and procurement. This requires being able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
The Electrical Engineer must be a credible spokesperson, capable of delivering recommendations with clarity and conviction. The Electrical Engineer must be efficient at prioritization and use of resources. Also required is business acumen including the capacity to understand and assist in developing budgets, business operational priorities, and project proposals.
