Schedule: 30 Hours, Days, Part Time, Benefit Eligible

Position Summary:

Performs cardiac catheterization through the use of technical expertise and following departmental policy and procedure. Communicates well with and anticipates the needs of the physician during the procedure, including flushing sheaths and catheters and prepping balloons with Heparinized saline. Performs any ancillary functions to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of procedures as they relate to cardiac catheterization. Effectively works with physicians and nurses performing the procedures. Performs cardiac catheterization procedures with a full understanding of appropriateness, image quality, and efficiency, and utilizes equipment appropriately.

Requirements: 

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist program.
• Experience: 1 year of previous cardiac catheterization experience.
• Certification/Licensure: Current Massachusetts BCEH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license; and current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation; CPR certification; and current ACLS certification with American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Software/Hardware: Meditech.
