About the Role

At Supporting Strategies, we bring clarity and peace of mind to our clients so they can focus on growing their business with purpose. As a Client Enablement Intern, you’ll play an essential role in helping new clients get up and running and supporting ongoing process improvements that enhance our high-tech, high-touch client experience.

This internship is an excellent fit for someone interested in accounting operations, technology, and process optimization. You’ll collaborate closely with the Operations and Client Services teams to support client onboarding, streamline internal workflows, and assist with compliance-related tasks. Through this work, you’ll gain hands-on experience with tools like QuickBooks Online, Rippling, Ramp, and Bookkeep, while developing valuable skills in project coordination, systems setup, and operational enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding

• Support new client implementations by helping to configure systems to deliver a highly tech-enabled and tightly integrated accounting experience.
• Assist with setting up and testing client system access, communicating any gaps or issues to the team.
• Drive client clean-up projects, with support from the team, to standardize historical financial data.
• Support the handoff process for clients moving out of implementation, which may include delivering documented processes and briefing the Client Services team to ensure a successful transition.

Process Optimization

• Support ongoing optimization projects to improve internal workflows to enhance service delivery.
• Automate processes by implementing standardized procedures directly within QuickBooks Online, migrating workflows away from manual spreadsheets.

Compliance Program Support

• Support the administration and tasks associated with our comprehensive client compliance program.
• Support client teams in completing state tax registrations, 1099 filings, and other regulatory reporting or filing requirements to ensure clients remain in full compliance.

Preferred Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 

Work Environment & Physical Demands

These are activities required to perform the essential functions of the position: Speaking, seeing, hearing, remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods, communicating with others to exchange information, and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. 

This job is conducted via a remote, home office space. Work is expected to be conducted per an agreed upon schedule during normal business hours. Actual conditions will vary between workspaces.
