In-Person Position
OXOS is searching for a detailed-oriented and quality-driven Assembly Technician III to join our high-growth company. You will join a dynamic team of passionate people who work daily to change how radiographic diagnostics are delivered. OXOS’ mission is to increase access and availability using the world’s first portable Dynamic Digital Radiography devices.
Responsibilities
As the Assembly Technician III, you will be responsible for assembling components according to detailed specifications, supporting troubleshooting efforts for device issues, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (including FDA and ISO standards), and contributing to the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assemble complex electro-mechanical device sub-assemblies following engineering documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
- Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect and test electronic assemblies for functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records in accordance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
- Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes.
- Follow all safety protocols, including use of ESD-safe practices and PPE.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3+years of experience in electronics/mechanical assembly, preferably in the medical device or other regulated industry.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards is a plus.
- Soldering skills and experience working under magnification is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and BOMs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common issues during the assembly process.
- Recommend process improvements to increase manufacturability and efficiency.
- Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 compliance is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
