The Opportunity

In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the analysis and formulation of oligonucleotides/peptides/conjugates/other novel molecules, documenting experiments, and coordinating timelines with internal teams. They will manage the chemical inventory and maintain a good experimental record in electronic lab notebooks. They are expected to interpret and present research data and findings in internal scientific meetings as well as prepare procedures and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical methods for analysis of oligonucleotide/peptide/conjugates and other novel modalities.
• Work closely with material generation team to perform in-process control and release tests using techniques such as HPLC and LCMS.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that materials are available for maintaining the project timeline.
• Formulate and characterize oligonucleotide/peptide/conjugates and other novel modalities for in vitro and in vivo studies to support discovery projects.
• Support in-house stability studies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments to ensure high performance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data and sample transfers.
• Organize and document all experimental data using ELN.
• Author protocols, standard operating procedures and reports.
• Contribute to reports and presentations. During internal and external meetings, you should be ready to interpret and present research data and findings.

To thrive on our team, you will need to come with:

• PhD (0+ years relevant experience) or MS degree (5+ years relevant experience) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field
• Hands-on experience and strong knowledge of HPLC (e.g., SEC, IEX, HIC), LCMS and other analytical techniques is required. Understanding of laboratory safety and best practice is required.
• Experience with analytical method development is a plus.
• Experience with formulation is a plus.
• Experience with aseptic handling techniques is a plus.
• Attention to detail and the ability to thoroughly document experimental work in electronic lab notebooks (ELNs).
• Understanding of oligonucleotide/peptide chemistry as well as the knowledge of analytical chemistry is a plus.
• Excellent written skills to author SOPs and technical reports, and verbal communication skills to present internally and externally.
• To be effective on our team, you must have the ability to interact effectively in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced research environment as well as the ability to multi‐task to meet research and development goals.
• This role is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension depending on business needs. #LI-Onsite
