We are seeking a Modeling and Simulation Analyst who will be a key technical contributor supporting United States Special Operations Command programs and other advanced defense initiatives. This role involves working with a team of analysts and engineers to design, develop, and execute modeling and simulation (M&S) activities, providing critical insights into DoD capabilities, systems, and operational concepts. The successful candidate will be passionate about building analytical frameworks, conducting experimentation, and applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approaches to deliver mission-ready solutions that directly impact the warfighter.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of analysts and engineers in the research, development, modeling, experimentation, and analysis of DoD systems and capabilities.
• Develop, validate, and employ analytical methods and simulations to facilitate system and mission-level analysis.
• Apply MBSE processes and tools to support the design, integration, and evaluation of complex systems.
• Utilize and extend DoD modeling and simulation environments; experience with Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) is highly desired.
• Produce clear documentation, technical reports, and briefings to communicate results and recommendations to internal teams and government customers.
• Interface with customers by participating in weekly test status and planning meetings, as well as technical interchange meetings with U.S. government stakeholders.
• Adapt to shifting priorities, multitasking across projects while maintaining focus on mission-critical outcomes.
• Support occasional non-standard work hours and schedules as required by project timelines or operational events.

Requirements

Location: This position is expected to be fully onsite at SOCOM, HQ located in South Tampa.

Travel requirements: Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

Necessary Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Modeling & Simulation, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of direct experience collaborating with analyst teams in DoD modeling, simulation, experimentation, and analysis.
• 6+ years of experience developing analytical methods and simulations to support system and mission-level assessments.
• Strong understanding of DoD capabilities, systems engineering processes, and M&S tools and environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SCI eligibility.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience with Next Generation Threat System (NGTS).
• Demonstrated experience applying MBSE practices in a DoD or defense contractor environment.
• Prior experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) programs or other high-priority DoD initiatives.
