Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Activity Specialists to join the West Side Community Center & the Geoffrey Candada Community Center.
The Activity Specialist will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children’s Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.
The West Side and Geoffrey Canada Community Center are seeking Activity Specialists to lead specialty-based classes and workshops for adults while also serving as mentors and advocates. This role involves helping adults develop lifelong competencies, confidence, and community connection. As an Activity Specialist, you will facilitate weekly lesson plans, lead engaging activities, and support participants in navigating personal and professional growth.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
At least 2 years of experience teaching or mentoring adults in your specialty area

Schedule
Fall Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 PM–9:00 PM & Saturday, 10 am-4 pm
Summer Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–6:00 PM
