Ripple Effect is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator with 4+ years of experience to support our client's mission. The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the National Library of Medicine (NLM)—a global leader in biomedical research and data science—in its efforts to accelerate biomedical discovery and improve public health through data-powered research. This role will support project planning, coordination, and documentation for multidisciplinary teams working across translational science, cloud infrastructure, and clinical data systems.

Responsibilities 

  • Project Coordination & Planning: Serve as the primary point of contact for project coordination across technical and administrative teams. Support project planning, scheduling, and execution in collaboration with program leads and technical staff. Track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, action items, and status reports. Prepare monthly activity and financial status reports, including cost tracking, staffing updates, and burn rate analysis. Ensure compliance with NIH/NLM documentation, reporting, and security requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between government stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams. Assist in preparing briefings, presentations, and updates for NIH leadership and program managers. Coordinate onboarding/offboarding documentation and maintain accurate personnel records.
  • Administrative & Operational Support: Support centralized administrative functions such as budgeting, auditing, and human resource coordination. Monitor and report on recruiting efforts, training activities, and employee certifications. Assist with the development and implementation of transition plans and continuity of operations during closures.

Minimum Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 4 years of relevant professional experience, prferrably in program or project management experience 

Basic Requirements 

  • Experience working with government contracts
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, timelines, and deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, briefings, and documentation
  • proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Understanding of federal reporting requirements, documentation standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, Section 508)
  • Experience supporting contract administration, including tracking labor hours, burn rates, and subcontractor performance

Skills That Set You Apart 

  • Experience working within NIH, HHS, or similar agencies is highly desirable
  • Background in clinical or data science projects 
  • Familiarity with cloud-based project delivery 
  • Experience leading teams in Agile or Scrum environments
