As a Unified Communications Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers connected, ensuring the systems they rely on are fast, secure, and reliable. Join us and help make sure today is safe, and tomorrow is smarter.
As part of our engineering team, you’ll be the go-to expert driving innovation in voice and collaboration technologies. You’ll:
Partner and collaborate with customer leadership and D2 management to plan, coordinate, and implement complex system-level changes.
Take ownership of Tier 2 and Tier 3 operational support — assessing severity, prioritizing tasks, mitigating risk, and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
Provide hands-on technical expertise in non-standard voice and collaboration systems, becoming a trusted advisor and problem-solver.
Oversee daily operations for approximately 8,500 phones across multiple platforms, ensuring peak system performance and reliability.
Lead and execute projects focused on deploying and upgrading collaboration technologies, including:
Microsoft Teams and Telephony Infrastructure
Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Cisco Unity Connection
Cisco Agent Desktop for Cisco Unified Contact Center
Cisco Meeting Server (CMS) and TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)
VoIP deployment and optimization initiatives
You’re a technical leader who thrives on solving complex challenges, optimizing systems, and improving how people connect and collaborate.
Required Qualifications:
Deep expertise in Cisco Unified Communications design, architecture, and administration.
Proven ability to engineer, configure, and troubleshoot large-scale Cisco Unified Communications systems.
Strong experience with Microsoft Teams and Call Manager 14+, including expert-level use of Bulk Administration Tools and Templates.
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and data analysis — able to logically sort, analyze, and correlate information from multiple sources.
Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
Skilled in integration testing, WAN network protocols, and system performance tuning.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to collaborate across teams and present technical concepts clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent technical training, military, or professional experience.
8+ years of hands-on experience in Unified Communications systems engineering.
