Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, this position is responsible for leading the execution and delivery of multiple, simultaneous, and complex customer projects and programs. The Senior Project Manager will work cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Commercial, Quality, and Finance to ensure successful project delivery within defined budgets, timelines, and quality standards—while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction.

This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in managing technical and operational dependencies, and demonstrates exceptional organizational and communication skills. The Senior Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all programs are executed with precision, transparency, and accountability, in alignment with company strategy and client objectives.

Project Leadership and Execution

• Manage end-to-end project execution for multiple concurrent, high-complexity programs from initiation through completion.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant execution of project activities.
• Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues; develop and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans.

Financial and Resource Management

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets—including raw materials, consumables, personnel, and third-party services.
• Track and report on project financial performance, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and achievement of targeted profitability goals.
• Utilize NetSuite ERP and PSA tools for project tracking, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
• Support accurate project forecasting and participate in variance analysis and cost optimization initiatives.

Operational Excellence and Change Control

• Implement and maintain robust project management practices consistent with company standards and SOPs.
• Manage formal change control processes to evaluate and approve modifications to project scope, schedule, or budget while safeguarding financial and operational outcomes.
• Drive consistent communication and collaboration across teams to maintain alignment and transparency throughout all project phases.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client-facing projects, ensuring clear communication of project status, risks, and deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Support the Vice President of Operations in proposal development and strategic account planning.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the development and refinement of project management tools, templates, and reporting systems.
• Capture and document lessons learned, process improvements, and best practices for application to future projects.
• Support departmental initiatives focused on standardization, training, and operational scalability.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years of project or program management experience in biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing complex, concurrent projects with cross-functional technical and operational components.
• Demonstrated proficiency with NetSuite ERP and PSA modules for project financials, resource management, and reporting.
• Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving execution and meeting delivery commitments.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time position is between $143,000 to $158,000 + equity + benefits.

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications.
