Little Words Project is looking for an Inventory Planner to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll manage sales and inventory planning across all channels—retail, e-commerce, and wholesale—making sure inventory aligns with customer demand across every channel.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys balancing data-driven insights with compelling brand storytelling. You’ll work closely with the Merchandising, Sales, Product, and Operations teams to maintain healthy inventory levels, support new product launches, and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Merchandising teams to forecast demand for new launches, collaborations, and seasonal collections.
  • Align inventory forecasts with sales goals, marketing calendars, and production timelines to ensure healthy stock levels across all channels.
  • Analyze sales, margin, and inventory performance by SKU, product type, and channel.
  • Prepare reports and share insights with leadership to guide decisions on assortment, pricing, and inventory strategy.
  • Manage inventory levels, allocation, replenishment, and transfers across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels to ensure accuracy and optimal availability.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support product launches from SKU setup to fulfillment readiness.
  • Ensure inventory and timelines align with sales and marketing plans for smooth launches.
  • Maintain up-to-date product listings, pricing, and assortment details across systems.
  • Support SKU adjustments, cost reviews, and lifecycle updates to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support, mentor, and develop planning & merchandising team members as the department grows.
  • Partner with the e-commerce and marketing teams to optimize product assortment, listings, and digital performance. 

Qualifications:

  • 4–5+ years of experience in merchandise or inventory planning (retail or consumer goods preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and data analysis proficiency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across teams.
    Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-moving, growing brand environment.
  • Passionate about balancing creativity and data to bring meaningful products to customers.
