On behalf of our client, Pro Waste Services, Inc., a fast-growing, family-owned waste and recycling company serving Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York, Decision Associates is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations and strengthen financial processes.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll move beyond compliance and reporting—you’ll be a true business partner to ownership, delivering insights that guide decisions and fuel growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and cash flow monitoring.
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decisions.
- Provide guidance and coordination within the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to increase data integrity.
- Collaborate with management to assess and improve accounting systems (Sage) and processes.
- Coordinate with external accounting firms, auditors, and insurance brokers as needed.
- Deliver timely financial insights to ownership to support decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; supervisory or coordination experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Sage software experience is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills—able to explain financials clearly to non-financial leaders.
