About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Los Angeles, CA
• Schedule: 1 session a week (tutoring hours TBD)
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with early elementary students, preferably with IEPs or special education backgrounds.
• Skilled in visual teaching methods and creating engaging lesson plans.
• Patient, positive, and adept at motivating young learners.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide feedback to families and educational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction in reading, writing, and language comprehension, emphasizing foundational skills.
• Use visual supports, graphic organizers, and other tools to reinforce learning concepts.
• Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to address frustration and sustain motivation.
• Integrate the student’s personal interests—such as popular children’s books, monsters, and Hot Wheels—into lessons to enhance engagement.
• Offer supplementary math support as needed to reinforce classroom learning.
• Collaborate with caregivers and therapists to align tutoring with the student’s IEP goals.
