CSBio is a leading biotech company in the peptide industry, and for over 30 years has been providing pharmaceutical instrumentation to biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic researchers.

We are welcoming a Office and Finance Associate to join us at our Mountain View site to support the Instrumentation team, located a few blocks off the N Shoreline Blvd 101 exit. CSBio's instrumentation team builds products that include peptide synthesizers, DNA synthesizers, and LC purification equipment (learn more here: https://www.csbio.com/synthesizer.html).

Core job responsibilities include the following:

  • Create a positive work environment for staff (and occasional visitors)
  • Maintain the office to ensure it's clean and update to date by managing day to day office operations that includes managing inventory and ordering office supplies and snacks, overseeing office maintenance activities by coordinating with service providers such as cleaners, gardener, plumbers, food delivery, HVAC etc for general building upkeep.
  • Manage shipments that includes generating shipping labels, preparing documents, and coordinating carrier pick ups for systems and materials.
  • Order component inventory on a minimum inventory basis.
  • Populate purchase orders, invoices, and generates an invoice reports.

Additional job responsibilities include the following:

  • Plan and coordinate social events, track birthdays
  • Coordinate travel arrangements such as booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation for staff
  • Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, purchase orders, sort and deliver daily mail
  • Check voicemails and direct them to appropriate personnel
  • Pick up and deliver items to suppliers
  • Support various staff with administrative tasks that include finance, supply chain, sales, manufacturing
  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate's or bachelors degree a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar).
  • Friendly and professional demeanor that is customer service oriented
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, ability to organize and multitask
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Safe driving record
  • Full time (36 hours/week) with benefits. We work 4.5 days/week (we do not work on Friday afternoons)
