Requirements

The Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for facilitating individual counseling sessions, support groups for bereaved children, adolescents, and adults; and educational lectures and workshops on bereavement for professionals in the community.  The Behavioral Health Counselor will also assist in organizing, implementing, and participating in a summer grief day camp for children.

Schedule: Day and Evening hours

Salary: $84,926.04 - $88,307.17

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of two years in related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•  Fluency in Spanish preferred.
•  Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.

Education: 

• Master’s degree and license required in either Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Creative Arts Therapy. Certification in Thanatology preferred.
