Director of Behavioral Health

Location: Berkeley, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $187,000 – $208,000 per year

About the Role

We’re seeking a results-driven leader to serve as Director of Behavioral Health for a reputable healthcare organization in Berkeley, CA. You’ll oversee behavioral health operations, provide staff mentorship, and lead initiatives that enhance access and quality of care.

Primary Duties

• Manage day-to-day behavioral health operations and program development
• Supervise multidisciplinary staff and foster collaboration across departments
• Partner with community agencies and internal teams to coordinate services
• Monitor compliance, quality outcomes, and financial performance
• Participate in leadership planning and behavioral health expansion projects

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or related field
• Current California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PhD, PsyD, or RN with psychiatric background)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in behavioral health, including leadership roles
• Strong understanding of clinical best practices and community mental health systems
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
