Director of Behavioral Health

Location: Emeryville, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $187,000 – $208,000 annually

About the Role

A trusted Emeryville healthcare provider is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health to lead clinical programs and support the continued growth of its behavioral health department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring quality, compliance, and staff excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee behavioral health operations, budgets, and staffing
• Implement evidence-based policies and best practices
• Supervise clinical teams and encourage professional development
• Collaborate across departments and community agencies
• Monitor outcomes to ensure effective, patient-centered care

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or related field
• Current California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PhD, PsyD, or RN with psychiatric background)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in behavioral health, including leadership roles
• Strong understanding of clinical best practices and community mental health systems
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
