General Role Description

Develop, implement, and manage the company's global logistics program to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods

Role Accountabilities

-   Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees to ensure logistics requirements are met

-   Lead the development and execution of logistics activities that align with the company’s Mid-Range Plan (MRP) for the Company’s logistics program

-   Define and set performance targets to improve logistics efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.

-   Develop and manage strategic carrier and 3PL relationships, managing partnerships that support the Company’s service and cost objectives

-   Lead contract negotiation processes with logistics vendors, ensuring agreements that prioritize competitive rates, high service standards, and scalability.

-   Develop and manage activities for freight consolidation, route optimization, and mode selection to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.

-   Continuously evaluate logistics spend against budget forecasts, identifying and implementing opportunities for operational savings.

-   Develop, implement, and manage KPIs for logistics, focusing on metrics such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and service quality.

-   Lead regular analysis and reporting of logistics performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management and supporting data-driven decision-making.

-   Develop and manage logistics compliance programs to meet safety, regulatory, and company-specific standards in logistics, including DOT requirements and hazardous material handling.

-   Develop and manage risk management practices to anticipate and mitigate logistics disruptions, ensuring continuity and safety in operations.

-   Align logistics with broader supply chain and procurement objectives through collaboration with BUs and Logistics and Procurement teams

-   Identify and recommend process improvements to Logistics and Procurement teams and business units

-   Manage 3rd party warehouse providers to ensure performance aligns with -the Company’s operational goals

Minimum Qualifications

-   Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field, or equivalent experience via education and/or work experience

-   5 years of experience in logistics management, logistics, or supply chain operations

-   Demonstrated experience leading teams to achieve business goals

-   Demonstrated knowledge of logistics regulations, including DOT and international shipping compliance

-   Proven experience in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization

-   Proficiency in logistics management systems (TMS) and ERP software

-   Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

-   Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts

-   Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills

-   Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility

-   Proficiency in MS Office Products, Oracle ERP or similar, any transportation management systems, such as Oracle OTM or TMS First

-   Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 15%, often with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications

-     Masters Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

-     3 years of experience with production and project-based material shipments or large-scale logistics projects

-     7 years of experience in logistics management, logistics, or supply chain operations

-     Experience with international shipping, customs compliance, and hazardous materials handling
