The Opportunity

We are seeking several junior litigation contract attorneys to assist in the defense of a federal litigation matter. This engagement is anticipated to last at least one year, with the possibility of continuing retention.  We are seeking several litigators ranging from 2 to 5 years of experience.  We anticipate 20-40 hours per week, flexible depending on the attorney’s existing commitments and case scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with high-profile trade secrets litigation case in federal court, serving as a legal resource on-site or hybrid in Palo Alto.
  • Develop and execute an aggressive litigation strategy, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft key pleadings such as preliminary injunction, dispositive motions, complex discovery requests, and responses.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of key technical and fact witnesses.
  • Act as a core member of the trial team, including examination of witnesses and argument of motions.
  • Coordinate with other counsel, in-house team, and technical experts.

Desired Qualifications

  • Licensed and experienced in the Northern District of California.
  • 2-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Expertise in Complex Business Litigation a Plus: Knowledge, experience, and/or aptitude to delve deep into complex technology matters and intellectual property disputes.
  • Excellent Written and Oral Advocacy: Superior legal research, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Hybrid work schedule available, with onsite at Palo Alto, CA.
