Controls Engineering Interns: This is where you come in

Our Controls Engineering Department takes the mechanical designs created by our engineering teams and figures out how to make these systems run. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at Commercial HVAC and Plumbing controls, learning how coding, logic, sensors, and automation bring life, intelligence, and efficiency to our buildings.

Top 3 things to deliver in your first year to be a hero:

• Learn as much as you can about HVAC, plumbing, controls, and mechanical contracting.
• Help your team. Work on controls drawings, assist with programming, review submittals, perform point-to-point checks, and help develop possible control strategies and solutions.
• Have a great time and explore if a future with MMFS is right for you, or if controls engineering is your path.

Interns report to our Senior Controls Engineers on a collaborative team working on a wide range of controls projects and initiatives that support our growing business.

Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role?

You should have…
• An interest in mechanical systems, controls engineering, automation, or programming
• A natural love of problem-solving, logic, and learning new things
• An in-progress or completed bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field

Compensation: You will be paid $24/hr for the duration of your internship.
