Our products empower finance teams around the world to understand their numbers and make confident decisions. We’re growing quickly and we’re looking for an FP&A Consultant to help lift the accuracy, reliability, and user experience of our FP&A products. 

About the role 

As an FP&A Consultant, you’ll bring your accounting expertise and customer understanding to ensure our financial products deliver accurate, dependable insights. As a financial subject matter expert you’ll help shape features, validate financial outputs, and guide decisions based on your comprehensive understanding of real world FP&A and accounting practice. 

You’ll test new functionality, identify discrepancies, collaborate closely with developers and product managers, and influence improvements that make our software more intuitive and more valuable to finance teams. 

What you’ll do 

• Act as the financial subject matter expert, advising teams on accounting logic, FP&A workflows, and customer needs. 
• Validate and test financial functionality to ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability. 
• Identify inconsistencies, bugs, or financial discrepancies early and clearly communicate them. 
• Build deep knowledge of our ideal customer profile and bring insight into product decisions. 
• Work cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and designers to refine features. 
• Support our customer team and customers with the implementation and use of Phocas products.   
• Contribute to user guides, documentation, and internal enablement. 
• Stay up to date with accounting standards and financial software trends. 

 What you’ll bring 

• Strong accounting & finance knowledge - CA/CPA or similar experience is ideal. 
• Comfortable working with multicurrency, consolidations and cashflow reporting. 
• Experience with financial or accounting software (industry or product side). 
• A naturally analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail. 
• Ability to understand customer problems deeply and translate them into clear recommendations. 
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with technical teams. 
• A growth mindset and the ability to learn quickly. 
• Experience with Phocas products, and/or experience working in a global organisation would be beneficial
