Tec Centro Network is a workforce development organization focused on preparing adults for careers in the skilled trades. They are seeking a Commercial/Residential Electrician (mechanical maintenance experience a plus) who is ready to step off the jobsite and into a full-time instructor role.

What You'll Do

As a Trade & Technical Instructor, you will deliver engaging, hands-on training that prepares adult learners for real-world success.

  • Teach commercial and residential electrical systems, tools, and techniques
  • Introduce mechanical maintenance fundamentals (preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Deliver hands-on, practical instruction aligned with industry standards
  • Reinforce jobsite safety, OSHA practices, and code compliance
  • Adapt teaching methods to support diverse and non-traditional learners
  • Track student progress and provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship
  • Foster a supportive, career-focused learning environment

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in electrical work (commercial and/or residential)
  • Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, safety practices, and electrical systems
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman license or relevant certifications
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance
  • Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
  • Experience working with adult learners or career transition populations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly valued
