- Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and secondary structure modification of Bombardier aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports.
- Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications.
- Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.
- Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests.
- Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required.
- Work in a team environment
- You will hold a Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or will have a minimum of five (5) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.
- Working knowledge of integration of ECS systems, waste and potable water systems, and other commodities associated with interior installations.
- You are proficient creating mechanical drawings using CATIA (required) and AutoCAD (additional)
- You will have a working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
- You will be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- You must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
- You must exhibit excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- You should be an organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.
- Effective communication of design intent, and design resolution are preferred.
