The Product Development Manager – Fabric Development is primarily responsible for creating and developing new piece dye fabrics, translating customer and market needs into commercially viable, production-ready fabrics.

Once fabrics are developed, this role ensures a structured and disciplined transition from development to bulk production, including lab dips, approvals, and pre-production. This is a hands-on, technical role first, and a process coordination role second.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new fabrics based on Customer briefs, Market trends, and Sales direction. Define fabric construction, blends, finishes, and performance targets
• Work closely with mills, finishing, and dye house teams to engineer fabrics and ensure fabrics are commercially viable and scalable
• Ensure color accuracy, hand feel, and finish consistency and performance standards. Adjust constructions/processes to meet targets
• Manage workflow, ensure clear, approved standards before production starts, and implement tracking tools for visibility
• Act as a technical bridge between Sales, Customers, and Plant and translate customer needs into technical specifications.
• Define SOPs for development and approval processes. Build repeatable standards for colors and finishes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• 7–10+ years of experience in fabric development, preferably in piece dye
• Strong technical knowledge of dyeing processes, fabric construction, finishing, and color development and lab dips
• Experience working with US brands and fast-paced development timelines
• Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong process-driven mindset
• Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills
