Job Description

Responsibilities:

Strategic Insight Leadership

  • Lead the venture’s strategic insight agenda, identifying emerging needs, category shifts, and consumer tensions that unlock meaningful innovation opportunities.
  • Act as a thought partner to Marketing, Innovation, Operations, and Commercial leaders — shaping venture strategy based on deep insight and data.

Next-Generation Research & AI-Driven Insight

  • Introduce new ways of doing research that are faster, more iterative, and more cost-effective — including AI-assisted insight mining, unstructured data analysis, , and predictive trend tools.
  • Build a modern insight ecosystem leveraging
    • Generative AI for insight clustering and message testing
    • Social listening and search analytics
    • Creator/influencer trend scanning
    • Automated consumer sentiment analysis

Agile Experimentation & Fast Validation

  • Design and lead rapid learning loops — smoke tests, landing page tests, AI-powered concept screening, creative A/B testing — to validate desirability early and reduce risk.
  • Partner with the Marketing & Proposition team to build hypotheses, design low-cost experiments, and rapidly iterate based on real-world signals.

Full-Stack Research Leadership

  • Oversee rigorous qualitative and quantitative research when needed (U&A, segmentation, claims testing, JTBD, pricing).
  • Manage insight partners and agencies while ensuring high quality, speed, and value for money.

Insight Translation & Decision Support

  • Convert complex insights into sharp opportunity spaces, target personas, and strategic recommendations that influence pipeline choices and GTM strategies.
  • Create compelling storytelling outputs (workshops, insight narratives, opportunity maps) that inspire cross functional teams

Cross-Functional Influence

  • Work closely with Marketing & Proposition, Innovation & Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure insights guide proposition design, product development, launch strategy, and scaling.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience & Expertise

  • 10–15 years in senior insights, strategy, or consumer intelligence roles within FMCG, beauty, durables, or tech-driven consumer brands.
  • Proven track record influencing senior stakeholders and shaping innovation or business strategy through insight.

Advanced Research Mastery

  • Expertise across qualitative and quantitative research, combined with fluency in modern insight tools, including AI, digital analytics, and social listening.
  • Comfortable designing rapid experiments, hypothesis-driven tests, and iterative validation cycles.

Digital, AI & Data Fluency

  • Experience using:
    • Generative AI for insight synthesis and message testing
    • Digital ethnography and social data mining
    • Predictive tools for trend forecasting
    • Rapid concept testing and automated research tools

     

Strategic Storytelling

  • Ability to translate data into compelling narratives that shape decisions at the venture, category, and leadership level.

Leadership & Influence

  • Strong collaborator who can challenge, inspire, and guide cross-functional teams toward consumer-led decision-making.
  • Experience coaching teams and influencing without authority in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.

    

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field.
