Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Funds Management Specialist within our Funds Administration team to support BBH’s rapidly expanding private and registered fund business. This role joins a growing team responsible for coordinating fund launches and supporting the ongoing operating model which governs BBH‑sponsored funds and related investment activity. As BBH continues to scale its funds platform, the Funds Management Specialist will play an integral role in supporting launch execution, facilitating cross‑team coordination, and helping ensure operational processes are executed consistently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Fund Launch Coordination & Logistics

  • Support execution of detailed pre‑close and post‑close fund launch checklists by tracking key requirements, providing status updates, and escalating outstanding items to senior team members as needed.
  • Coordinate launch activities across internal teams (including Fund Accounting, Risk, Compliance, Investor Services, Operations, Tax, and Technology) to support operational, regulatory and system readiness.
  • Assist with the collection, organization, and routing of launch‑related documentation and operational inputs (e.g., account opening materials, regulatory filings, service provider contracts and deliverables) to support timely review and downstream processing.
  • Maintain and update internal trackers, matrices, and reference tools used to evidence launch readiness, confirm follow‑through on post‑launch items, and support ongoing operational requirements

Support for BBH Fund Investments into Third-Party Funds

  • Support the subscription process of BBH funds investing inthird‑party fund vehicles by coordinating operational requirements, tracking key dates, and monitoring required documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation, organization, and routing of subscription‑related materials received from third‑party fund managers and administrators to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain trackers and logs to support visibility into subscription status, outstanding items, and internal approvals required to facilitate timely execution.

Fund Maintenance Support

  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding fund reporting matters and account setup and coding issues.
  • Aggregate internal fund and investor data as needed in response to inquiries and support regulatory filings.
  • Develop an understanding of the servicing protocols of BBH’s Administration and Accounting Teams in order to develop effective solutions to operational challenges.

Process Enhancement & Documentation

  • Identify potential bottlenecks or breakdowns observed across fund launch and post‑launch workflows, and support senior team members in implementing practical process or documentation enhancements.
  • Assist with maintaining and enhancing launch checklists, trackers, matrices, and reference tools to reflect real dependencies, sequencing, and ownership across teams.
  • Draft, update, and maintain procedures and templates to reflect current practices, lessons learned from prior launches, and evolving operating requirements.
  • Support post‑launch cleanup and stabilization activities, including confirming documentation is complete, reference tools are updated, and processes are positioned for repeatability and scale in future launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow structured checklists, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and comfort working with trackers, logs, and documentation repositories to support controlled and repeatable processes.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience using Copilot or similar productivity tools is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset and unquestionable integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment with a commitment to shared outcomes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while navigating ambiguity.
  • Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to diligence.

   

Salary Range

NY: $75,000 - $85,000 base salary + target annual bonus

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
