About the Internship

Engelhart’s Internship Programme is a unique opportunity designed to provide a strong basis for a role within renewables and commodities. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be available to commence their six-month internship from 07 July 2026. 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Renewables Origination Intern to support our commercial origination team in identifying, tracking, and developing renewable energy opportunities. You will play a key role in enhancing data quality, improving commercial workflows, and supporting deal development through effective use of Salesforce and market research.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to the fast-growing renewable energy sector, working alongside experienced originators, analysts, and commercial managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Origination Support
  • Conduct market research on renewable energy developers, projects, and corporate off-takers.
  • Support the team in identifying new partnership or deal opportunities.
  • Prepare presentation materials, pitch decks, and commercial inputs for meetings with clients and prospects.
• Salesforce & CRM Support
  • Maintain, update, and improve Salesforce records across accounts, leads, and opportunities.
  • Ensure high-quality data input, verification, and consistency to support accurate pipeline reporting.
  • Assist with building dashboards, reports, and workflows to help the Origination team track prospects and deals.
• Operational & Process Enhancement
  • Streamline CRM processes and contribute ideas for improving efficiency within the origination workflow.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Trading, Market Analytics, Legal, and Finance.
  • Assist with documentation, compliance checks, and internal coordination.

About You

Across our 2026 internship programme, we are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to grow and contribute to a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment and have a keen interest in renewables.

Essential Criteria

• Strong academic background in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Business-level English and German proficiency.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• High attention to detail and confidence working with large datasets.
• A strong interest in renewable energy markets.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is highly desirable but not required.
• Proficient Python coding skills are advantageous.
• Previous exposure to renewables or trading environments is advantageous.
