Job Description

Eurofins PSS is seeking a Bioprocess Associate – Cell Culture & Bioreactors to support operations at a client site in Framingham, MA. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in upstream bioprocessing, cell culture, and bioreactor operations within a laboratory setting.

The Bioprocess Associate will support routine lab functions, assist with bioreactor setup and maintenance, and execute cell culture workflows in small-scale and pilot-scale environments under established procedures and team guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and support of laboratory equipment and workspaces
  • Assist with setup, operation, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of small-scale and pilot-scale bioreactors
  • Execute cell culture experiments following established protocols and SOPs
  • Prepare media, perform sampling, and maintain cell cultures (e.g., passaging, feeding)
  • Support inoculation, monitoring, and harvesting of bioreactor and shake flask cultures
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation in lab notebooks and data systems (e.g., ELN)
  • Monitor process parameters and trends using process control software
  • Adhere to safety standards, GMP practices, and proper documentation procedures
  • Communicate results, observations, and issues to team members and leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in cell culture or bioprocessing (academic or industry)
  • Experience working with small-scale or pilot-scale bioreactors preferred
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique, media preparation, and cell culture maintenance
  • Experience assembling, cleaning, and maintaining bioreactors and associated components (e.g., probes, tubing)
  • Understanding of upstream bioprocess operations including inoculation, feeding, and sampling
  • Exposure to process monitoring software (e.g., DeltaV, MFCS, ambr) is a plus
  • Experience collecting and compiling experimental data
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work both independently and within a team
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship 

Additional Information

The position is Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Framingham, MA, are encouraged to apply
