POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Analyst within Performance & Analysis services customers in the areas of performance, quantitative analysis and statistical functions, and contributes to growth and transformation initiatives in those same areas. The role focuses on high‑quality client service and delivery, alongside improving processes, information, and data quality.

This individual provides analysis of moderate to complex calculations, data structures, reporting, and applications. This role leads and/or collaborates on system enhancements, automations and transformation initiatives, with strong emphasis on control, data quality, and scalable delivery of performance and attribution outputs.

A successful candidate will be highly self-directed, strong in virtual teaming, collaborative and dedicated to mentoring and cross-educating others within the team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Operational Support (Runs the business): Responsible for the production, reporting and/or secondary review of complex performance and attribution data, including calculations of returns, benchmarks, and statistics, and the end‑to‑end reconciliation and interpretation of equity and fixed-income attribution results. Serves as an escalation point for system or process‑related issues and manages communication with affected parties to ensure deadlines and expectations are met.

  • Subject matter Expertise (Grow the business): Serves as a subject matter expert on performance, attribution, benchmark and statistical data, acting as a resource to the immediate team and broader firm. Proactively follows industry trends, anticipates new data requirements, and designs and implements performance, attribution, benchmark and statistical calculations in line with established best practices.

  • Project Management (Transform the business): Responsible for analyzing business issues, opportunities, and enhancements and implementing solutions to improve reporting processes and technology supporting performance and attribution platforms. Independently leads moderate to complex projects, including solution design, testing, implementation, and post‑implementation support, making recommendations to managers and business partners based on findings.

  • Leadership: Applies sound business judgment, technical knowledge, and project management experience to navigate institutional business lines, exercising influence where appropriate.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Math, Finance, Accounting or Engineering

  • 5 or more years of demonstrated technical or industry knowledge

  • CIPM or CFA certification, or Graduate Degree in Business or Finance

  • Deep understanding of the equity and fixed income attribution models and key sources of returns across strategies

  • Experience in performance and attributions systems like Factset PA

  • Strong working knowledge of query‑based data analysis (e.g. SQL or equivalent) for validating, reconciling, and interrogating data across multiple sources

  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulae, data models and structured analytical workflows

  • Ability to apply automation or assisted analytical tools to strengthen data controls, reduce manual effort, and support exception‑based review

  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and organization skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; position requires interaction with all levels of internal staff and external customers

Work Flexibility

  • This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day a week from home.
