Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting with technical/surgical procedures, casting, cast removal, and splinting, functioning under the direct supervision of the orthopedic physicians and mid-level in accordance with hospital policy regulations. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

• HS Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Knowledge of Orthopedic-related casting, splinting.
• 6 Months of previous job-related experience.
• completion of an Orthopedic Technician training and certification program

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
