ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform handset inspection to verify product compliance to Asurion’s documented standards
  • Utilized DAX, Databases, and spreadsheets to accurately record ESNs, inspection results and information
  • Sort, Count, Package, Box, and label as necessary to segregate conforming and non-conforming product
  •  Follow documented escalation procedures for disputed findings.
  • Report audit findings and assist with root cause analysis of failures or process breakdowns
  • Utilize DAX to research and perform stock investigations or similar material reviews
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management related to the Quality department, 5S, training, and organizational metrics.

Skills/knowledge

  • Ability to navigate handset functions
  • Computer literate, including ability to enter data using a keyboard
  • Detail orientation, ability to follow work instructions and guidelines
  • Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards set by leadership
  • Must be receptive to feedback on performance issues
  • Possess problem solving skills, participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to complete tasks as assigned by Supervisor, or Manager
  • Ability to respect core values of Asurion and comply with the Company's policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve business goals and objectives

Experience/education

  • High School Diploma/ GED

Physical demands:  Bending, sitting, lifting, and standing based on the need of the business. Standing and/or sitting for extended and long periods of time, up to 100% of shift or over time.

Work environment:  Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Vocal communications is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and/or to communicate with customers and/or clients. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and in environment with loud machinery.

Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals, and such matters as demands for overtime or shift work. Exposure to various materials including cardboard, various metals and plastics. Exposure to moving equipment and objects in the immediate work area such as automated machinery, fulfillment line, heavily laden carts, and forklifts. Exposure to tools or material with sharp edges which may involve the risk of injury.
