Overview
The trainer reports to the Training Coordinator and is responsible for the training of all warehouse associates. Able to comply with the Safety, Quality and efficiencies set by MDI.
Provides assistance with evaluating the effectiveness of training programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and employee performance.
Completes all training documentation.
Schedule:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 3pm-3am
Responsibilities
- Be able to train and coach multiple learning styles
- Ensure all employees have been trained in safety, quality and procedures in accordance to our policies.
- Train associates by promoting our core values. Treat all employees respectfully and equally. Support a team environment. Maintain good or better attendance.
- Coach employees on how to stack merchandise on pallet in a manner that no damage occurs while selecting order, loading, or delivering product.
- Actively involved in the warehouse safety committee. Recommend and Implement process improvements based on observations and other factors.
- Must maintain and teach quality standard of accuracy, stacking and pallet conditions.
- Meet, communicate and deliver constructive feedback while maintaining confidentiality
- Furnish reports weekly with trainees and training coordinator while maintaining confidentiality
- Consistent and ongoing follow up on training for new and experienced associates
- Conduct task analysis in order to create and/or validate Standard Operating Procedures for training purposes.
- Ability to cross-train in warehouse job classifications in order to maximize skills and efficiencies.
- Must be able to reach, lift, and stack cases ranging in weight from 1 to 100 pounds.
- Must work in a safe manner adhering to all safety policies be able to operate and use jack and lift in a safe manner so as not to endanger self or others.
- Responsible for following all training documents and procedures as it relates to Food Safety and Food Defense.
- Must be able lead effectively in a high stress environment
- Must have a working knowledge of various computer applications (including but not limited to Triceps, Mainframe and MS Suite)
- May be required to do other job tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Highly proficient in computer usage, e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience as a hands-on trainer or relevant warehouse experience
- Presentation skills and comfortable speaking in a classroom/tour environment
- Bi-lingual a plus
