Our Social Work Department provides LCSW Clinical Supervision to those pursuing their LCSW, opportunity to provide graduate level Social Work field supervision requiring a field placement, and onsite CEU opportunities.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaboratively formulates appropriate and realistic discharge plans, working with other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team and available community based organizations including the Child Protective Services team and DCFS.
- Complies with standards and regulations of licensure, regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Develops and leads or co-leads support and/or psycho educational groups for designated patient/family populations as appropriate
- Involved in promoting Social Work within the hospital through Social Work month, in-services, lectures, etc.
- Meets with patient and family and facilitates referrals to extended care facilities, utilizing Extended Care Information Network. Transfers to other facilities are made in a timely way to ensure an appropriate length of stay.
- Serves as consultant and educator both formally and informally to the care and multidisciplinary teams regarding biopsychosocial components of illness and hospitalization.
- Develops accurate psychosocial assessments which examine the current problems as well as relevant biopsychosocial and environmental factors.
- Develops and implements appropriate treatment plans, utilizing various psychotherapeutic intervention relative to emotional adjustment to illness, injury, and/or hospitalization.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- Self-motivated, organized and comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- A Collaborative, solution-focused, team player to help facilitate safe patient outcomes and contribute to institutional goals
- Previous clinical social work experience in a health care setting of at least one year
- Licensure in Illinois
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Previous clinical social work experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Behavioral Health Experience Preferred.
- Experienced in conducting psychosocial assessments using a Trauma-Informed Care approach.
- Understanding of State regulations for Gender Based Care
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance coverage and protocols.
