Overview

The Integrated Enterprise Improvement Team Supervisor will lead a team to attain the Navy desired 1 Columbia and 2 Virginia annual production rate and achieve the targeted construction span for each program. This team supports Enterprise Cost Reduction, Continuous Improvement, Technology Deployment and Span Reduction tasking, which is aimed at improving the manufacturability and affordability of the Columbia and Virginia Class Programs by implementing changes to the existing ship design, manufacturing processes, or businesses practices. This team interfaces with Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design and Engineering, VCS Program Office, CLB Program Office, Design Build, Groton Operations, Quonset Point Operations, Materials Management, EB upper management, and Navy customers.

 

The Integrated Enterprise Improvement Team also ensures that project timelines and outcomes will support the strategic objectives of the Columbia and Virginia Class Programs, as well Enterprise Plans including the Integrated Enterprise Plan and Facilities Master Plan and track metrics for all enterprise cost reduction, continuous improvement, technology deployment, span reduction projects, and report those metrics to the appropriate customers.

  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel from working level through executive, and with people from all disciplines, both internal and external to the company
  • Experience designing and developing business metrics, and using them to drive decision making
  • Experience supervising others
  • Experience in Enterprise Plans e.g., Integrated Master Plan, Facility Master Plan

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 8+ years of experience in Program Office, Process Engineering, Engineering, Planning, Operations or Test
  • 2+ years of experience in program office
  • FLG or BLG Graduate

Preferred:

  • 2+ Years of EB Supervision
  • Bachelors of Science or Arts (or above) in Business or Finance
  • Experience supporting major construction evolutions or other relevant operations experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Training
  • Knowledge of management tools and EB business systems (i.e., Artemis, EVMS or other EB specific tools)
