Overview
The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty works in a specialized ambulatory or community pharmacy area. Working under moderate supervision, this role provides patient care in their specialty area, engages with providers, pharmacy staff and may supervise patient advocates and/or pharmacy technicians. Responsibilities
Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public.Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians. Precepts students and residents. Functions at a higher knowledge base and competency and spends the majority of time addressing complex situations or works on project improvement initiatives.Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION:Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BSPharm EXPERIENCE:Required: 6 years LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hireBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderBCPS or Board Certification in a specialty area
