Job Description/Responsibilities

The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm.

 

As a PLC Maintenance Technician, you will ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and production machines; you will have the capability of following diagrams, sketches, manuals and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions. 

 

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD)
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing your strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing your PLC troubleshooting skills
  • Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications/Requirements and/or Desired Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of prior Maintenance or Mechanic work experience required

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

  • Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances

  • Ability to work with vibration from a specific tool

  • Ability to operate Industrial equipment as required

  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance

  • Ability to work overtime if necessary

  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.
