SUMMARY
Performs the same duties as members of the assigned team; provides guidance and assistance to the team ensuring production goals are met. Coordinates day-to-day activities as directed by Manufacturing Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists with training team members and coordinating OJT
• Provides feedback to Manufacturing Management on team members’ performance
• Attends JOS meetings if necessary (CAC, QIC, TIC, MIC) • Prepares work area for daily production runs; makes sure required materials are available
• Conducts meetings as required • Ensures production schedule is followed
• Monitors production and escalates issues as required • Backfills for absenteeism to meet production needs
• Prepares and completes manufacturing production reports as required • Drives 5s within work area • Counts and monitors WIP and orders parts • Investigates failures from other areas, and ensures team members are aware of defects
• Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum one year of relevant experience or training Basic reading, writing and math skills Basic computer skills required, including keyboarding, mouse usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time Frequently required to walk, bend, lift, push, load, unload, and carry up to 40 lbs Close vision required for inspection of finished product, use of PC monitor, drawings, visual aids, etc. Wearing of safety glasses and steel toed shoes required on manufacturing floor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Workstation is in the manufacturing area May include exposure to machinery with moving parts and high temperature surfaces the noise level is low to moderate Low level of dust/dirt and chemical fumes exposure
