A Brief Overview
Leads evaluation of business requests to determine requirements, feasibility, and recommend business solutions. Contributes to functional vision and strategic direction. Identifies potential efficiency gains in team process/procedures including leveraging innovation where feasible. Fosters mutually beneficial working relationships for business and IT by working closely with end users and application development team. Uses their deep business and technical knowledge to contribute to system capabilities
What you will do
- Conducts structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project team members prioritizing work within an iteration and targeted release for their functional area.
- Document the clients’ business needs in the form of user stories.
- Creates business process and technical diagrams for shared understanding.
- Configure some business process changes and lead testing design across business and IT teams
- Oversee the technical work from other team members and translate customer impact to the business
- Conduct grooming sessions with full team (users, developers dba’s, needed IT partners, etc.); Facilitate technical grooming session with development team to document technical support stories.
- Evaluates new or enhanced solutions to determine potential issues and communicates how problems may affect business and recommends solutions.
- Create defect and enhancement items to be added to the backlog, collaborate with software engineer for mutual understanding.
- Assists in evaluation of business requests to determine feasibility, researches and identifies options.
- Partner with Functional Leads and the Analytics team to ensure technical solutions can be measured and tracked.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required
- Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) preferred
- 8+ Years IT-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Data Analysis, etc. required
- Experience in Workday Configuration required
- Requirements management tool experience (Azure DevOps or others) preferred
- Experience in Workday Configuration preferred
- Lead an Agile/Iterative project team in the role of business analyst. required
- Knowledge of programming languages, project management, and application or systems development methodologies required
- Maintains a working competency of technology stack associated with project solutions. required
- Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge. Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines. required
- Advanced investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced data analysis skill. Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions. required
- Advanced ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously. Advanced ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. required
- Advanced skills in customer relationship management and change management. Advanced negotiating and persuasion skills. required
- Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability. Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions. required
- Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects. Advanced interpersonal skills. required
- Basic SQL query writing skills and other technical acumen required
- Workday Pro certification preferred

Compensation Range:
$104,350.00 - $155,350.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
