Overview
The Program Supervisor, VIRGINIA Class Business Management, reports to the VIRGINIA Class Business Manager and is responsible for maintaining the overall fiscal and operational health as well as executing business needs of the VIRGINIA Class Program. The candidate for this position will also be responsible for developing and integrating the VIRGINIA program with Shipbuilding Partners, Suppliers, Internal and External customers to improve how we build the VIRGINIA Class Submarines.
As we look to increase our volume to two VIRGINIA Class submarines delivered annually, there is both opportunity and need for us to improve our execution of work and grow the VIRGINIA Class program
This Program Business Management team will lead the functional areas of the VIRGINIA Program Office to execute key Engineering, Construction, and Development objectives including cost and schedule performance, new technology development, and new opportunities for Electric Boat. The ideal candidate will work to optimize how our business operates and elevate the current state of the Virginia program.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a VIRGINIA Block V and VI business strategy that ties together all VIRIGNIA class program goals to an achievable path of implementation
- Realize overall measurable improvement in actual / forecast delivery of VIRGINIA Block IV, V and VI ships
- Collaborate with NNS in joint shipbuilder activity related to class performance, strategy, and execution to recover shipbuilder schedule
- Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables to accurately measure and monitor Program performance
- Empower and motivate both a direct-report team and cross-functional team effectively
- Communicate program performance to internal and external stakeholders as well as senior leadership
- Interface with all government agencies including PEO Executive Officers, PMS450

- Experience working with EB’s various computer systems. ARTEMIS, ELCADD, Oracle, OWL, CATIA, ect.
- Ability to read and understand EB drawings and work packages
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 + years of experience in Program Office, Operations, Planning, Engineering, Contracts, Finance
- Travel required as needed
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Planning, Finance, Economics or related business field
- Experience in Government Contracting, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Program Management or Construction Support
- Demonstrated leadership- Experience in leading a team or previous supervisor experience
- Shipyard process experience; manufacturing knowledge
