The New York Post is seeking a full-time Media & Sports Innovation Intern (40 hrs/week) to gain hands-on experience across our technology, marketing, and sports teams. This unique internship offers exposure to multiple areas of the business, allowing interns to contribute to data-driven projects, digital marketing initiatives, and sports content operations. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you’ll help uncover insights, support audience engagement strategies, and contribute to the storytelling and technology that power one of the most recognizable media brands in the world.
Note: This internship is scheduled to run from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. Participants are expected to work full time hours and adhere to our on-site work schedule. Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year.
What You’ll Do:
Rotate across technology, marketing, and sports teams to gain exposure to how data, digital strategy, and content creation work together within a modern media organization.
Assist with analyzing audience, engagement, and performance data to help identify trends and support editorial and marketing strategies.
Support the creation, formatting, and distribution of sports and digital content across platforms including social media, newsletters, and push notifications.
Conduct research on sports trends, audience behavior, and emerging media tools to help inform content and engagement strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects that support audience growth, product innovation, and digital storytelling.
Contribute ideas for campaigns, content initiatives, or workflow improvements that enhance how we reach and engage our audience.
Contribute to our daily sports coverage, including World Cup 2026, as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Media, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
A strong interest in the intersection of sports, technology, and digital media.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Comfort working with data, research, or digital tools such as spreadsheets, analytics dashboards, or content management systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
A proactive, curious mindset and enthusiasm for learning across multiple areas of the media business.

Base Pay Range: $20/Hr - $20/HrWe’re committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent. This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
For bonus-eligible roles, targets are determined based on multiple considerations, including market benchmarks and individual contributions.
