RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and inside sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Additionally, builds a cooperative and supportive relationship at all levels of the organization.
  • Foster a coaching culture, providing ongoing training, feedback, and performance management.
  • Drives on sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to drive market expansion in Food & Beverage industries.
  • Guides their team to focus on smart and potential new customers.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at Food & Beverage producers, planning and engineering firms, integrators and plant constructors.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultative selling to customers, ensuring product solutions meet customer's regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and after-sales support.
  • Assist sales team in delivery of proposals and presentations when necessary to close strategic deals.
  • Collaborate with local / regional engineering team to conceptualize and deliver value adding fluid control solutions to customers.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals of the Burkert portfolio to be used for on-site presentations and sales calls.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and establish new business opportunities.
  • Assist in driving the specifications of Burkert Solutions at: OEMs, Food & Beverage producers, planning and engineering firms, integrators and plant constructors.
  • Work with CIM's and Marketing to plan and implement promotional campaigns around Strategic Directives and Tactics.
  • Provides leadership to their teams (è POD structure Sales Operations Team & Service Team) to ensure alignment with sales.
  • Maintains communication with customers, distributors and their team to update them on new products as needed.
  • Close exchange and cooperation with corporate Industry Portfolio and Business Development Management to ensure that Bürkert's industry portfolio remains competitive and adds value to customers.
  • Work closely with other local / regional business development / sales managers on cross country projects at Food & Beverage producers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Engineering, or a related field.
  • Several years of business experience with OEMs and plant construction projects in the Food & Beverage sector.
  • Experience in dealing with and convincing relevant stakeholders in the Food & Beverage plant project business (Food & Beverage producers, planning and engineering firms, integrators and plant constructors).
  • Established network and well-developed contacts with these stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships at all levels.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in hygienic / aseptic fluid control solutions (valves, pumps, or related equipment as well as in process control within the Food & Beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and cleanroom environments.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze fluid control challenges of customers and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events -Travel (domestic) of up to 50% is required.
  • Proven experience influencing senior executives and management, ability to manage conflict constructively and acquiring/developing talent to grow into future leadership roles.
  • Knowledge on how to work within a global matrix organization.
