We are looking for a motivated Thesis Worker to support the development of best practices for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in a global company environment located in Keilaniemi, Espoo.

The objective of this assignment is to define, document, and validate an end-to-end RPA operating model, covering idea intake, business case calculation, prioritization, process development, and RPA implementation. As part of the work, you will apply the defined model in practice by delivering one RPA automation from idea to production within a selected business unit.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business processes, automation, and IT, while creating concrete value for the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze the current RPA operating model and practices
  • Define and document RPA best practices for a global organization, including:
    • Automation idea intake and governance
    • Business case and benefits calculation
    • Automation prioritization models
    • Process description and process improvement in the context of RPA
    • End-to-end RPA development and operating model
  • Collect and assess RPA automation opportunities in a selected business unit
  • Select, design, and document one automation candidate
  • Participate in the development, testing, and deployment of one RPA automation
  • Evaluate results and provide recommendations for scaling RPA practices globally
  • Produce documentation and thesis deliverables based on the work

What we expect from you

  • Ongoing studies in e.g.:
    • Industrial Engineering and Management
    • Information Systems
    • Computer Science / Software Engineering
    • Automation / Business & IT related field
  • Interest in process development, automation, and digital transformation
  • Basic understanding of business processes and IT systems
  • Analytical and structured working approach
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with business and IT stakeholders

Considered an advantage

  • Familiarity with RPA concepts or tools (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate)
  • Experience in process modeling (e.g. BPMN, SIPOC)
  • Basic skills in data analysis or programming (e.g. Python, VBA, SQL)
  • Interest in business case and value realization
