The ideal candidate will perform routine accounting functions pertaining to the General Ledger; have strong interpersonal skills, technical skills, and a good understanding of GAAP.
Responsibilities include:
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts daily.
Reconcile internal deposit accounts.
Analyzes and verifies transactions and documents and prepares adjusting entries to properly reflect ledger data.
Prepare and record journal entries throughout the month.
Communicate with departments and branches regarding reconciling items and to resolve outages.
Assist with month end processes and record monthly transactions.
Assist in automating processes to improve efficiency using Microsoft Excel macros and Microsoft Access database.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2-5 years of accounting experience preferred. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
Current four-year college student, majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field are also encouraged to apply.
Strong Organization Skills and the ability to work independently.
Team player with ability to meet goals and deadline.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Familiarity with Workday Financial Management a plus.
