The Engineer monitors, supports, and regularly keeps updated enterprise application software. Maintains, monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes systems for reliability and efficient performance. Participates in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities:

Automate infrastructure and operations tasks, creating sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.

Support, monitor, troubleshoot and collaborate on how to optimize systems for reliability and efficient performance.

Primary support of Dev, SIT, QA, UAT, Production and DR for a subset of given applications. Monitors logs, triages alerts, issues, and escalates to appropriate teams.

Document all configurations, changes, and proposed changes.

Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of compute environments for the enterprise through compliance and usage of industry best practices and methods.

Closely monitor the IT Service Management system queue for work orders, tasks, and incidents and respond as per defined SLAs.

Provide Level III technical support to internal and external users. Escalate issues to senior team members as required.

Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action in a timely and effective manner.

Required Knowledge/Skills (5+ years’ experience in):

Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure.

Demonstrate intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Windows and intermediate proficiency in Linux operating systems.

Perform intermediate to advanced administration tasks on systems and infrastructure.

Desired Skills (7+ years’ experience):

Certifications desired: MSCE: Windows Server Administrator / RHCE

Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices, monitoring, and incident response.

Previous success in technical engineering

Education:

Desired Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or similar.
