Summary:

This position is responsible for analyzing complex business intelligence data to inform business decisions and by evaluating datasets, and creating reports, dashboards and extracts for a variety of needs using established tools and data sources. This positions is responsible for all aspects of the Data Warehouse/ Business Intelligence (BI) development lifecycle, including the integration of new data sources, extraction/visualization of data, and quality assurance of data.

Leverage expertise in EHR data (from Epic and other community EHR providers) in the development of reports, dashboards and extracts. Develop models and algorithms to support contracting, required reporting and innovation in healthcare data.

Progressive experience writing T-SQL queries and stored procedures, including developing reports and extracts for customers using BI tools including SSMS, SSRS and SSIS. Advanced knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts and technologies, including data profiling and data modeling. Working knowledge with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Pyramid Analytics, or Power BI.

Responsibilities:

Creates SQL stored procedures, views and functions using best practices and efficient code. Loads data into Data Warehouse by extracting complex data from multiple sources into business-centric Data Marts.

Validates and delivers high quality data and BI solutions that enable user functionality with minimal ongoing maintenance and a low volume of production incidents. Maintains and develops documentation for all data sources/dashboards.

Provides quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers. Develops and communicates recommendations to the end users on dashboard visualizations to optimize effective and efficient use of data within the specifications of the request, and outside the specifications of the request to enhance the utility of the data/dashboard.

Provides ongoing performance monitoring and tuning, for both new and existing, reporting and BI applications.

Supports end users and organizational leadership in obtaining meaningful data, analytics, visualizations and insights to assist with decision making and improve business operations.

Provides understanding of the data in the organization, performing analysis and report writing with key sets of information from the EPIC Clarity data models, data warehouses, and multiple other systems throughout the organization.
