What We Offer

Provide compassionate and quality occupational health services to patients within the corporate setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver employee-centered care, administer treatments, and support the overall well-being of individuals under medical care.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform OSHA/Covestro required exams on employees.
  • Perform Physical Testing including: Spirometry, Vison screening, Audiometric, Electrocardiogram, vitals, venipunctures, urinalysis, and respirator fit testing.
  • Administer injections: vaccines, allergy shots, intramuscular and subcutaneous medications
  • Prepare required surveillance documents and assists with maintaining medical records.
  • Age related voluntary wellness exams
  • Pre-employment testing – Sedentary and non- sedentary
  • Drug and Alcohol testing – per department procedures
  • Chemical exposure testing - per department procedures
  • Administer Safety and Ergonomic eyeglass programs
  • Train employees in CPR/AED, First Aid, BBP (Bloodborne Pathogens)
  • Member of Emergency Response Team
  • Member of Ergonomic Team
  • Daily and annual calibrations of equipment: spirometry, audiometric, Clinitex, OHD Quantifit, vaccine refrigerator.
  • Maintain all Department of Health Registrations and Permits
  • Maintain the sites First Aid kits and supplies
  • Maintain Stericycle Contract and Medical Waste Management
  • Order prescription and non-prescription medications, medical office supplies.
  • Document medical information into electronic medical record to comply with appropriate medical retention policy
  • Support the department with the maintenance of optimum health, the prevention of illness, injury, and the management of acute or chronic health problems.
  • Cases are usually non-repetitive and require analysis of subjective data plus the ability to acquire and analyze objective data.
  • Support the Regional responsible sites to include Surveillance Exam programs and Wellness programs
  • Support the Pittsburgh and Regional myTotal Wellbeing program for improved employee health and wellness.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or R.N. certification;
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience where decision-making was required OR minimum of 3 years’ experience in occupational health nursing.
  • Preferred experience in occupational health, corporate health and wellness. 
  • Certified in: Basic and Advanced Life Support.
  • Certified Trainer for BLS
  • Certified in Audiometry, Vision Screening, Spirometry, Respirator Fit testing, Drug testing procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computer operations: MS Office, EMR system

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable of: Workers’ Compensation laws, OSHA, HIPPA, GINA, ADA standards, and state disability laws

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fluent Cross-functional team expectation
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills. 
  • Highly organized/effectively multitasks
