Job Description
The Role:
We are seeking a Staff Technology Manager – Signal and Power Distribution Architecture to define technology vision and strategy for global programs, align stakeholders, and deliver high-quality, customer-centric solutions across signal and power distribution hardware (battery, redundant power, generation, power distribution/conversion), state-of-the-art software-defined vehicle EE architectures, and semiconductor/electronics.
What You’ll Do:
Define the strategic vision for Signal and Power Distribution Technology to optimize vehicle and system performance and improve key KPIs
Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and risks
Develop decade-long technology roadmaps and drive alignment across the organization
Drive cross-functional technology initiatives to deliver against the roadmap and strategic priorities
Own product and technology strategy documents for stakeholders across the company, present to senior leadership driving alignment
Define, document, and track key metrics and KPIs to measure technology impact and guide decisions
Perform Make vs. Buy analyses to shape and support the in-house hardware design strategy
Conduct post-launch analysis to evaluate technology performance and identify improvement actions
Continuously refine and improve the technology based on user feedback, market trends, and business goals
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
5+ years in automotive technology management or product development, including 2+ years in signal & power distribution or low-voltage architecture/hardware
Proven track record leading cross-functional projects in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with high autonomy and ownership of results
Strong problem-solving skills; able to analyze and resolve broad, ambiguous technical issues without clear precedent
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, conveying complex concepts and strategies to diverse stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Electrical & Electronic architecture optimization for Software-defined Vehicles experience
Comprehensive understanding of the software and hardware architecture associated with major vehicle features, including braking systems, thermal management, infotainment platforms, and compute modules. · Application of Safety ISO 26262 principles such as hazard analysis and risk assessment, and safety concept development
Semiconductors related experience
Vehicle launch management experience
Previous responsibilities of collecting customer feedback and leading product improvement to enhance customer experience
