Join Gundersen Health System as an Ophthalmic Assistant – No Experience Required!

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in healthcare? Gundersen Health System is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant to support our growing team. No prior optical experience is needed—we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed!

What You’ll Gain:

• Hands-on experience working alongside multiple Ophthalmic providers across Gundersen Health System.
• A starting wage of $17.55/hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience.
• This position plays a vital role in supporting our injection clinic, including responsibilities such as managing medication orders, coordinating patient medication programs, and assisting with ocular injection procedures. Candidates must be comfortable working in close proximity to needles and the eye area.

What You’ll Do:

• Work 36-hrs a week, Monday through Friday.
• Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Primary location: Gundersen Eye Clinic – La Crosse
• Opportunity to travel to other Gundersen optical locations.
• Provide support and scribe for providers during patient care.

What You’ll Need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of customer service or public relations experience.
