Gundersen Health System is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Representative! In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes while supporting our patients and internal teams. What's Available:

• Full-time – 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)

• Monday – Friday, Day Shift

• Department: Insurance Billing

• Remote eligible after training - Must reside in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa

What You Will Do:

• Perform detailed audits of patient accounts to identify and resolve billing issues

• Follow up with third-party payors to ensure proper reimbursement and claim resolution

• Investigate and manage claim reviews and appeals

• Collaborate with internal departments and external contacts to maintain data integrity

• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and assist with payment arrangements

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines

• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects

What You Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1 year of work experience, preferably in a medical facility, insurance company, or office setting

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with medical billing and third-party payor processes is a plus

• Successful completion of core competency testing for Accounts Receivable Representatives
