40Gundersen Health System is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Representative! In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes while supporting our patients and internal teams. What's Available:
Full-time – 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)
Monday – Friday, Day Shift
Department: Insurance Billing
Remote eligible after training - Must reside in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa

What You Will Do:
Perform detailed audits of patient accounts to identify and resolve billing issues
Follow up with third-party payors to ensure proper reimbursement and claim resolution
Investigate and manage claim reviews and appeals
Collaborate with internal departments and external contacts to maintain data integrity
Educate patients on financial responsibilities and assist with payment arrangements
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines
Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
What You Need:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of work experience, preferably in a medical facility, insurance company, or office setting
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with medical billing and third-party payor processes is a plus
Successful completion of core competency testing for Accounts Receivable Representatives
